Early in my life I became aware of a sense of deep harmony with the rhythms of the world around me. Others recognized this and I was given my first camera. The days blossomed with serenity and joy as I explored open fields and wooded forests of the Vermont countryside.

At seventeen as a pedestrian, a drunk driver changed the course of my life. Serious injuries resulted including brain trauma. My life---my world ---was altered in an instant. Dreams of marine biology were to remain dreams. My ability to retain information was compromised.

I ventured west for a while to begin anew and mend a broken spirit. My inner self searched for ways to express a deep well of emotion. Rediscovering beauty in those days, the camera again became a vehicle for expression. I returned to the northeast to attend Paier College of Art, a period of personal and artistic growth. During my time there I sharpened my vision. My soul focused on expressing what words could not.

During these years I crossed paths with a man who I quickly recognized as my soul mate.  Life took us to California and later Arizona. The southwestern desert remains our home. Our lives are forever enriched by three wonderful children, now grown.

A few years ago a new camera found its way into my hands, a gift of love from my family. My spirit comes alive as I explore the world through its lens. I navigate with wide eyes a world rich with wonder and beauty on both a grand scale and in the most minute details of life. We inhabit a fascinating, magical world. My hope is to translate the beauty and connection I perceive for other eyes to see.

Welcome to my gallery.
